synchrony issue for client browser using proxy server

we are on confluence 6.0.6.  synchrony appears to be working if client browser doens't use proxy server.  some of our windows users in the company have proxy server setup for their browsers.  They usually get an error about "Loading the editor's taking longer than usual..." when editing a page.  i have tried both apache and nginx; switched in-between ws:synchrony and syncrhony-proxy.  No luck.  has anybody run into this before?

I ran into the same errors, and also errors where randomly, users couldn't save documents because they recieved errors that the server couldn't be found. I was using iis as my proxy server. If I tested locally it worked perfectly, just not from outside the network. It may be best to turn it off. Apparently, there appears to be a complete fix in the 6.1 version, but I have yet to test it.
