Set Overview Page to a Custom Template

Balbinder Banga July 11, 2018

Hi I have a standard Overview template that I have created.  I would like to set this as the Overview page for all my projects.  Can someone help with how to do that?

for example, when I set up Confluence pages for my Jira project for the first time, the Overview page is automatically set with a template.  I have created my own Overview page and I would rather the Overview page be the one I created.  How do I set the Overview page to use my template instead of the template that's automatically set?

Hi Balbinder,

To change the page being used for the overview you may go to the current overview page, select Space settings>Overview>Edit Space Details>Home page and set the knowledge base home to the page you created.

It seems like you should be able to choose your template from Jira in the first place instead of going back and changing it, so I created this suggestion for the development team in our issue tracker As a user I would like to choose my Jira Service Desk project overview knowledge base template

Feel free to vote or comment on the ticket as it is public-facing.

Thanks,

Ann
