I have some confused confluence users. They are sharing pages with users who they do not realize do not have permissions for a particular space.
See screen grab: https://screencast.com/t/VLsGYWkj4
They are assuming that by sharing the page, they are granting permission to that person and expect the permission scheme to be updated.
I understand why that is not the case as users are not able to manage permission schemes. That is for the space admins to control.
However, it would be nice if the users received a message or alert letting them know that the person they are sharing with does not have permission in that space and to request they be granted permission by the space admin.
Does anyone know if there are plans to change this or have similar issues?
