I run a training program and use Confluence (cloud version) to show the events calendar. It looks pretty but because the schedule changes every month, it's daunting to change because of the limited functionality of Confluence tables.
It looks nice but very difficult to maintain. :(
The main problem is that it's impossible to copy a table row and insert it into another row. Attempting to do so results in all the columns merging into the first column. Ridiculous!
This makes it impossible to change around content when sessions move to a different time slot.
As a potential solution, I tried separating each column or event into an "excerpt". Using the "excerpt include" macro would make it easy to drag and drop the events into a new time slot. It certainly works, but it isn't visually appealing because of the large gaps.
Before I switch over to using a Spreadsheet, can anyone suggest another alternative that I can try?Shows the source (above) and the result (below). This is messy but easier to maintain.
