Hey!
My team is working on Confluence articles and sometimes they need to create one source page that they can "mirror" to other spaces. Because different teams need different amount of information from this page they put the sub-sections into excerpts.
We noticed that the /include content macro fails on pulling images placed in excerpts most of the times (you can refresh the page 5-8 times than if you are lucky, it will load once). Using the /insert excerpt macro on the same page (but just on those excerpts) work beautifully but mirroring the whole page isn't.
I tried to find some solution on this, but I didn't succeed. For some reason I can't open an actual ticket to Atlassian so I wanted to try my luck with the community.
Have you seen this problem? Do you know how to resolve this? Is this an actual Atlassian bug that only them can fix?
Thanks in advance!
Hey @holyba_levente ,
Apparently, this is a known issue. Here are some related open bugs:
I don't think there are any reliable workarounds, but you can maybe check how it behaves if you use different browsers. Potentially it's an issue related to browser cookie settings, but I cannot say for sure :/
Cheers,
Tobi
Hey! Thanks for the reply!
CONFCLOUD-57924:
This one is close but it's about Blogs and my issue is Page related. Sometimes the the include content macro pulls the image from the excerpt but sometimes the tool just shows Unavailable image error message (not the file name)
CONFCLOUD-79154:
In my case the excerpt doesn't need to be found because the creators used the include content macro that pulls the whole Page into another one. The problem is caused by the excerpts on the pages we want to mirror with the macro.
CONFCLOUD-82372:
This seems to be about a scroll macro that isn't relevant to my issue.
