Unable to change email address

Hi

I have a .co.uk domain for my site.

this was connected using google workspace.

I want to test confluence using my .com domain as I have switched but unable to delete the .co.uk account and then use my .com domain to run a trial and sign up.  

I tried the change email function but am being prompted that this isn't working.

any ideas how I can get that fixed?

Unfortunately Atlassian doesn’t currently allow you to change the email address on an existing Atlassian account, especially if it was originally created via Google Workspace login (SSO).

The usual workaround is to:

  • Create a new Atlassian account using your .com email address
  • Then invite that new user to your Confluence site (or start a new trial with that email)
  • Finally, deactivate/remove the old .co.uk user account

Not ideal but it’s currently the only supported path when moving from one domain to another.

Thanks for the suggestion.  That hasn't worked.  I have actioned my accounts for deletion and I hope that will work.  Will look for other products in the meantime as I need to have a product up and running by the end of the month.
