Hi All

I really like the capability to drive the creation of JIRA tickets from Confluence Product Requirement pages (via the create issue from a table capability) as it saves so much time.

However, for an issue which is linked to Confluence is it possible to drive changes on JIRA back to the linked confluence page?

Many thanks,

Hi stuart.dobbie@callsign.com,

  • Yes, it is a nice Confluence feature where JIRA issues are created from a Confluence page.
  • Please note that JIRA tickets can be viewed in a Confluence in multiple ways which are documented at https://www.atlassian.com/blog/confluence/link-jira-issues-to-confluence-pages-automatically.
  • For this to happen, both Confluence and JIRA need to be linked using Application Links.
  • Please note that Confluence offers the user to specify which JIRA fields need to be displayed on the Confluence page using JQL (JIRA Query Language).
  • When the Confluence page containing the JIRA issues is rendered, it would be the latest and most recent data from the underlying JIRA issue.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,
