I am using Cosmos for company intranet on Confluence. I have a "Newsroom" set up which features all our blog posts. I don't see any way I can organize them to put the ones I want prominent on the top. I have a few posts I have marked "Feature" but they do not go to the top. It is only sorted by date.
I'd like Employees to see certain posts at the top when they go to this page.
Hello Melisa,
Unfortunately, Cosmos doesn't offer the customization you're seeking. The Newsroom in Cosmos is designed to automatically display ALL blog posts from Confluence chronologically, without the ability to select posts from specific spaces. This setup often poses challenges for creating a focused and effective company intranet.
However, Mantra offers a versatile and refined solution. Unlike Cosmos, Mantra allows you to meticulously define which Confluence spaces should be considered as news sources, enabling you to curate content that aligns with your company's communication strategy. With Mantra, you're not just limited to blogs; you can include pages as well, and even categorize content based on labels for more targeted communication. On Mantra's Dashboard, you can insert multiple news modules to segment your news effectively, and crucially, you have the option to make certain news 'sticky', ensuring that your most important announcements remain in the spotlight.
As the CEO of appanvil, creators of Mantra, I encourage you to take a closer look at what our app can do for you.
If you're interested in seeing Mantra in action and how it can elevate your intranet experience, please feel free to schedule a demo with me.
Best regards,
Jan
Hi @Melisa Singh ,
what you could do is to have cosmos to look after certain labels like "news-feed".
So you can give every space owner the information that if he or she wants to appear with their post on the start page, they only have to use the label.
Alternatively, Cosmos can be restricted to certain spaces so that Cosmos only looks at certain blogs. For example, the blog of the corporate communications or HR department
Does that answer your Question?
I'm not working for Caelor so feel free to ask them via ticket

Hello Marcus,
Just to clarify, Melisa was mentioning the Newsroom, not the dashboard. Please note that the Newsroom always display ALL blogs and settings cannot be configured at this moment.
Best regards

Hi @Jan Kuntscher - appanvil - Aura Karma Mantra
that is partly true.
As a user i can filter for labels in the newsroom as well.
But you are absolutely right about that the default setting isn't changeable and the newsroom will always look for all blog post. Mostly because it is supposed as some kind of news hub.
But i ran into a similar problem like Melisa and shared my workaround.
Regards
Marcus
