WHY did you remove the style macro. WHY

We have been using the style macro so that we can use numbered headings.  WHY would you completely remove the style macro, without providing an alternative for those that DO use it. 

You (Atlassian) are making confluence more and more dumb and removing the features that originally made it so great.
