extra scrollbar with excerpts

I'm getting a extra vertical scroll bar when I use the excerpt function (on the master page that hosts the content for the excerpt and NOT the child page that is referencing it).  On my machine, it happens on FIREFOX and not EDGE.

Has anyone found a fix for this?
