A 504 Gateway Timeout from CloudFront indicates an edge location waited for the upstream (origin) but didn’t receive a timely response, so it terminated the request. The message explicitly states the server couldn’t be reached, often due to high traffic, connectivity issues, or configuration errors, and includes a Request ID for troubleshooting.

Possible Causes

  • Temporary outage or degraded performance in the origin service or a regional edge path
  • Corporate network issues such as proxy/VPN interference, firewall blocking, or DNS resolution problems
  • Rate limiting or WAF/CDN rules that unintentionally block or delay requests, especially during peaks

Validate below

  • Retry after a few minutes, then try another network path: switch off VPN
  • Hard refresh the browser, clear DNS cache, and test a different browser to eliminate caching
  • If you are an admin, check org/site health pages and any IP allowlists, egress firewalls, or SSO proxies


If still you face the issue open a ticket with Atlassian Support at Atlassian Support

아마도 트래픽 폭주등 이슈가 있었던것 같습니다.

아틀라시안 사건 보고서 확인 했는데, 아쉽게도 해당 시점에 사건보고서는 없습니다.

Is this error still persisting? I don't see any incidents reported in Confluence - https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/
