our company just signed for Confluence. i also have a demo confluence site. the demo site has the word "Pages" in sidebar. The company site has the word "Content" in sidebar.
Why the difference? What does "content" mean? Can we not just have "Pages"? This is going to be a documentation site, "Pages" is expected, "Content" is not.
Hi @Rick Piovesan ,
I would be interested in seeing an image of what you are observing. Mine also says pages and always has. It certainly is possible that changes are coming and your new site is illustrating this change. Does the word contact literally replace pages? That is is it in the same location and represents a heading for all of the pages in a given space? Are there any other changes in the layout?
Hi Rick, I think this is some historical designation during the evolution of Confluence and Server vs Cloud.
Here's a KB I found on Page Properties .
I found this community article with references to Page & Content properties. Content-Properties-vs-Page-Properties that should explain it.
Hope that helps.

It would be interesting to know if the site with "content" is server for sure.

Hello all, re Dan - sorry I don't understand that KB article at all. Jack, attached is shot of (left side) a demo personal site I set up few days ago to demo Confl, and (right side) turning on Confl into my company's existing Atlassian subscrip. Very annoying.
While on subject of annoying - what is this 'calendars' stuff? we are not using calendars, don't plan on ever using but we have to see this link here forever? Its basically an advertising link prompting us paying folks to pay more ,..,really?

Would love to hear if anyone has been able to find out if Calendars can be removed. We want to use a space for public documentation, and the Calendars advertisement is terrible -- we have a paid Standard account, & don't want this upsell visible to our users!
