How to remove scrum/kanban teams under a program?

Hello All,

Happy Friday!

I have two teams(scrum/Kanban) under a program which are also connected to Jira projects/boards. So, the data is syncing bi-directionally between Jira and Jira align. However, leadership has decided to remove these teams from it's program and from Jira align. Can anyone help me with the steps I need to follow to remove these teams from program and from jira align and what impact this would have on existing data that was synced into jira align?

Note: We haven't created any PI yet for this program or generated any sprints in Jira Align.

Hi Sachin!

That question was already explored in this Jira Align community thread: How to delete a (Value) Team and its data ,sprints,boards from Jira Align?.

Just one addition (which is probably not helpful for you but for others which might read this): 

If the teams which should be removed from Jira Align contain historical data which should be preserved, it might be an option to just deactivate the respective teams. Jira Align help provides additional information.

Does the information in there help you with your question sufficiently?

Thank you Philipp. That helps. 

1. Team: deleted team from Team --> Teams --> Selected team i want to delete --> More Actions Delete
2. Board: From settings --> Jira Management --> Deleted board (so it stops syncing the data)
3. Project: From settings --> Manage projects --> I Enabled the toggle for project i want to delete and hit delete. 

I am ok with the data that was synced into Jira Align previously, so I didn't bother about deleting the stories/sub-tasks that synced.
