AQL for Value Changed in Custom Attribute

Hello!

I am trying to create an AQL for when a value has changed in a custom attribute in Assets. For example, we have a Software object type with multiple user attributes: Technical Resource, Technical SME, Business Owner, etc. We would like to know when the value in any of these attributes has changed.

Is there a way to pull this via AQL? I am not seeing anything in the Assets Reports nor do I see a way to do this via automation so hoping this is a simple AQL I can build out and save as a filter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Justine

Hello @JA ,

If you are a jira admin, you have a capability to write an automation with the trigger as "when object updated".

Hope this helps!

Hi Vijay! Thanks for the tip. When I go to create a new automation rule though, I don't even have the trigger of "When: Object Updated" available - what am I missing here?

Hey @JA

You have to go to Global Automation rules. If you're trying to use the trigger that might affect the wider scope than the project, you should use Global Automation. You're trying to find that trigger from project > Automation.

You will find it if you go to Automation Globally from the system settings.

Cheers,
