Hello there,
We have a request form in a Jira service management project. We are adding an approval on one status of the workflow and we want the user to select it's own approver from a curated list.
I followed the instructions here and there but still, the list shows ALL Jira users. I have yet to find the place to edit the list of point to a group. Thanks for helping!
Add a new custom field to a service project | Jira Service Management Cloud | Atlassian Support
You must do the following:
- Create a field of type User Picker (single user);
- Then click on "Edit context and default value" for this field;
- You will see an option called "Edit User Filtering";
- By clicking on it you can point to a group where this field will only show users present in this group.
After that, add this field to the issue creation screens.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Fernando
Hey @Martin ,
Do you mean that you want to have a "user picker"-field but filtered by a specific group?
Normally you can do that by going to the field details and editing the filtering
That field would then be your input for the approver stage (or you could copy it over to some other field if that's needed)

You cannot see this option because you are using a User picker (multiple users) field.
You must use a User picker (Single user) field. Then from there you will be able to use the resource to filter the group of users that the field should display.
