Automate the number of assets when an employee is onboarded or offboarded

Hi,

We have an onboarding and offboarding process(two different issue types and workflows).

We have used asset management plugin to manage the assets of the employees.

When the employee is onboarded he is given some asset and recorded in Asset field.

When the employee is offboarded, I want my assets to be released from Asset management Project.

Is there any automation which can help in the same.

Hi @Anzar Khan 

If you use Asset from Jira, then there is such a custom field - Assets.

If you create a task, for example, "John's boarding", then the goal of Automation can set - Laptop, as soon as you create a task of a certain type in a particular project.

Once you create the task "John's offboarding", automation can find the previous task and clear the field.

Also, you can try Business Process Manager for Jira (created by my SaaSJet team). It allows creating onboarding processes there will be a field - to assign Asset: yes - no.
So you will need to fill in the Custom field in onboarding tasks.

For offboarding process, there may be a field "forbidden asset: yes-no" and someone will be responsible for its edition + will be recorded in the custom field.
