Hi,
I need an automation to set the approver of the issue based on the value of a field.
I have done a simple test, updating the issue fields when it is modified, but I cannot get the Approvers field to be updated. It does modify a text type field.
This is the test...
Approvers action...
With this automation, the text field is updated. But nothing changes in Approvers.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!
We finally found this solution.
It seems that the user list fields don't work properly out of the box, but they do work in this other, more complex way...
The Approvers field was created where configuring the workflow, for the status needed to be approved.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
There is no error in the audit logs. Please check if the approver field is added on the Issue view screen as @Marc - Devoteam said.

What does the audit log of the automation tell you?
Is the approvers field on the screen used by the issue type(s)?

Remove the text option from your rule, is the rule then running fine, if yes the approvers field is set.
Is this field visible on the issue?
If not add it to the screens.
To use the set user as approver a status in the workflow should have the approval option enabled, and configured.

Hi @Francesc Juventeny, the Automation rule looks good. Could you please share a screenshot of the audit logs to check the issue?
