I want to create several Service Desk projects based on another project which I've configured to my satisfaction.
So when adding a new project I'm filling in a name for the project and I'm checking the "Share settings with an existing project" option, I select the project from which I want to copy the settings. But after pressing "create", I get a new screen with the following text:
It may have been deleted or your permissions may have changed.
I'm able to access some of the settings for the project, but I can't access the project itself. What's going on?!
I assume you are and admin? When you say you can’t access the project, how are you attempting this? Can you go to the projects page and search for the project? Are you on cloud or server?
If you are an admin and cannot see the project in the list of projects then it is not there and has been deleted, renamed.
Hi Jack,
Yes, I am the Site Admin. I'm using the cloud version of Jira Service Desk.
I can see the newly created project in my projects overview. When I click the project, an empty page with the spinner shows and that's it.

I added my own account to 'people' in the Project Settings and now I'm able to access the project.
However, various settings haven't been imported into the new project. I'm talking about Request Types and such.

Hi, Did you get this working? I am having the same issue. First I couldn't access the project like you so I followed the recommendation but now it appears that none of the settings copied over.
Thanks in advance,
Lindsay

Hi Lindsay,
I'm afraid that I couldn't solve this problem and ended up canceling my membership because of it.
