Can you associate a WF within a request type that is different than the issue type WF

Team...is there a way to have different WF per request type within a issue type...or do you have create a new Issue type?

Hi @Rob , 

as workflows are linked to issue types, it is not possible to have a different workflow for different request types from the same issue type (wow, that sentence confuses me.. :'D )

So you will have to create a separate issue type for every workflow, or add conditional transitions based on request types in the same workflow (please don't do that unless you have a very minor dissimilarity / corner case for your workflow)

Hello Tessa ...thank you I suspected as much and I created a new issue type. I had already created a request type under a different issue type...can I migrate this request type to my newly recreated issue type?

Hi @Rob , 

if it was many request types you could try to export / import with API's, but as it is 1 request type, I think adding a manual new request type under the correct issue type and then moving the issues will be faster.
