Confused on 2 sites but 1 project

I seem to have 2 sites - I must have set one up initially on a trial. I have now configured my project under the same 'Site' as my Jira Software projects.

When I select Switch To I am shown

Jira Software

Jira Service Desk

When i select the drop-down on Jira Service Desk I get 2 options:

  clearcostsupport

  shtecccdev

the first one has no projects

the second one has the project I have setup and want to keep

firstly I don't want to be billed for an empty site and can't seem to delete it. Also, I'm not sure how I know which one i am deleting - I would hate to delete the wrong one.

Also - is it possible to move the project from shtecccdev to clearcostsupport as I would prefer to use that one.

Can someone help?

To move the data between two Cloud instances, check out:

• If the target site has no existing data / no data that needs to be kept, use these instructions
• If you're merging issues from both instances, use these instructions

Once ready to delete:

1. Go to https://admin.atlassian.com/
2. Select the organisation / group of sites you wish to delete
3. If this is an Org, select Billing > Your Org from the top navigation bar.
4. On the left-hand menu, select "Manage Subscriptions"
5. On each active product, select the 3-dots icon in the bottom-right and choose "Delete"
6. Follow the instructions to delete the product site

Note that deleting a product site does delete all the data immediately, so do ensure you've moved your data across to your remaining site first.

To not be billed you simply ensure you are on the site you wish to close and go to admin settings > billing and cancel it. If you have issues you can contact Atlassian Support directly. You could perform a full backup and then restore it to the other instance.
