Custom Field Suite - degrading performance

I'm using the Custom Field Suite app to populate several layers of fields, but on creation of tickets the performance seems to downgrade tremendously causing the system function slow. The field pops in a separate window however I just get a spinning circle. Once the ticket is generated, I am able to select the custom fields there with no problem. Can someone help please.
