Did you mean:

Customers can see internal notes.

Thijs November 26, 2024

Goodday

In our Jira Service Management, we add internal notes.
However, we have noticed that a customer can also see these internal notes.
Could you assist us with this issue as soon as possible?
This is not desirable.

Thank you!

Hi @Thijs

Are these customers granted a JSM license?

Are they part of the group jira-servicemangement-users or are they licensed Jira Software users and they are granted  the role "Service Desk Team on the project?

Grante then the customer role only

Hi thanks you for the tips.
I think I’ve found it.
The customer was listed among the customer projects, but was not yet a service desk customer within the projectsettings.

Hi @Thijs have you verified that your customers are setup as 'Customers' and not 'Agents in their security settings for their logins?

@Thijs -

In JSM, only users with agent licenses and have the rights to access the projects will be able to see the internal comments.
