The knowledge base article for portals says:

> Choose whether you need search

> If you don’t have a Confluence knowledge base linked to your project, it might be a good idea to disable the search bar on your customer portal, just to not confuse your customers. This option is often used when you want to give your portals more simplicity and space.

However, I don't see the "Search" section in Project settings > Portal settings. Are there reasons that this section is missing? Or is this KB article out of date?

Hi @Joshua McCrowell

That's a support article for Server/Data Center - in Cloud, the functionality is different.

You currently cannot hide the search bar in Cloud, but you can vote for this suggestion here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-2488
