Email forwarding doesn't work

Hi,

We set up the email forwarding to JIRA, and got this error message.

https://adromance.atlassian.net/secure/admin/SDMailInfo.jspa

”Your request could not be created. Please check the fields have been correctly filled in. Please provide a valid value for field 'components' ”

Where is the setting that does this? We use atlassian cloud.

Hi @Makoto Taguchi,

it seems, that you configured the field components as required either in your field configuration or in your request type that is used for requests created from emails.

To check the field configuration, go to Settings -> Issues -> Field configuration, select the configuration used in your project and check the components field if it is set to required.

To check the Request Types, go to Project Settings -> Request Types. There should be one, that as an email-Tag. You can go to fields there and check, if you configured the field as required.

If the field is set to required in one of this places, then you either have to make it optional or you can set a default value in the request type configuration
