I have automation rule to update the Issue Summary with Issue Creation as trigger. I want to ensure the updated summary in the Internal Notifications that are against Issue Creation. Also for notification to Slack channel.
In essence, the automatic triggers/events are both Issue Creation. How can I ensure or control the firing order.
Thanks much!!
Hey @Bin - Are you able to provide a screenshot of the automation rule? You probably have to refetch the data and make sure the summary has been updated. I might be able to guide easily once we see the automation rule.
Thanks,
@Bharat Kalia automation rule does not matter. You can use any generic rule to mimic. refetch the data in the rule will delay the rule further. The key is the rule fires and completes first before Jira sends system notification for issue creation. If there is data refetch action, it should be done in the Jira system notification for issue creation. So the notification can be delayed.

Hello @Bin - How about you add the slack notification as part of the automation rule, rather than using the default notification scheme?
That way you will have control of what is going out.
Thanks,

We do use slack integration, rather than sending in slack message. We do not want to turn off the Jira native email notification. So that is why I want to see if I hit the wall for Jira native notification.
Thanks for you suggestion, @Bharat Kalia I will bring it up if the requirement is keen to include the updated summary.
