Forge Custom UI App - Fetch issue ('not implemented' error)

Hi,

I'm writing a Forge Custom UI app as a jira global page.   There is a requirement to fetch data from an external data source.   I've setup a test environment for the external data source which works fine and I've managed to get it working in a UI Toolkit app, but not in the Custom UI app.   Below are the error and the code.   Any ideas?
