Hi
Can we Create a generic login e.g., ABC (assume company name) for ticket creation in Jira, and emails and notifications sent to the creator of Tickets e.g. john@abc.com, allen@abc.com
Thanks
Shahzad
Hi Shahzad,
Many administrators set up what are often referred to as service accounts. These are accounts that aren't connected to a single user and come in handy for things like creating API tokens or for "owning" Dashboards that are used for display on public/company monitors.
The account must have a valid email that can be monitored and where a human can respond for things like account validation when an invite is sent to the email.
But as Trudy says, it should not be used as a common login for multiple person for security reasons. Nor should it be used to avoid paying for additional licenses for each user.

Hello @Shahzad Iqbal
What problem are you trying to solve by having one login used by multiple people?
In what type of project do you want the issues to be created?
If the all used the same login, that is the account that would be the creator of the issue. How would you expect Jira to know the email of the actual creator that used the generic login?

Actually it is request that came from one of the user.
He wants that there should be a Generic Login & the Notification, email should be sent to the Ticket owner email address.
So, I searched in Jira. When I did not find I asked for the Clarification whether it exists or not
Your point make sense that how Jira will come to know if we use a same generic login for multiple users.
Thanks for the Clarification
Kind Regards
Shahzad
