According to this page, you can switch off that people who have been set to CC also receive e-mails or request participants. But I'm not quite sure how this works. I'm in Customer Permissions and I should be able to set this under Customer sharing, but the page and the sentences don't really say anything.
So what do I have to deactivate/activate here so that NO participants are added by mail?

You need to look at the customer notifications on the project.
You might need to disable or edit notifications.

thanks for your reply. I have already looked at the Customer Notifications, but nothing applies to Request Participants. So our e-mail distribution list is always included in the CC when we send tickets to Jira. And so Jira thinks this is probably a customer and that's why we get emails when a ticket is closed. But how do I turn them off there?
