How to deactivate Request Participants?

Users added in CC are not getting added as request participants to the request | Jira and Jira Service Management | Atlassian Support

According to this page, you can switch off that people who have been set to CC also receive e-mails or request participants. But I'm not quite sure how this works. I'm in Customer Permissions and I should be able to set this under Customer sharing, but the page and the sentences don't really say anything.

So what do I have to deactivate/activate here so that NO participants are added by mail?

Hi @Antonia

You need to look at the customer notifications on the project.

You might need to disable or edit notifications.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam ,

thanks for your reply. I have already looked at the Customer Notifications, but nothing applies to Request Participants. So our e-mail distribution list is always included in the CC when we send tickets to Jira. And so Jira thinks this is probably a customer and that's why we get emails when a ticket is closed. But how do I turn them off there?Screenshot 2025-05-16 150406.png
