Insight Discovery Credentials

Hello All,

We have done a network scan with the Discovery tool and have imported the ZIP file to the cloud, but most of the windows devices have Status "Rejected".

After looking into it, it's because of the credentials used.

So far I have tried to add the following credentials:
Domain admin

Local Admin

Created a new Active Directory user and gave it domain admin rights

When trying to test a laptop with any of the credentials it fails.

Not too sure what other credentials should I use to get the full details?

Also when trying to scan devices like printers, switches should I use credentials as application?

All the servers that have been scanned seem to be OK

Turns out the issue was not credentials, but the following firewall rules had to be enabled on devices:

  • Windows Management Instrumentaion (WMI-In) (TCP-Port: 135) 
  • Windows Management Instrumentaion (DCOM-In) (TCP-Port: Dynamic)
