Is it possible to resend Approval requests within the ticket?

We use JIRA for our Service Desk and I handle our organization's IT procurement. Any procurement requests require supervisor or higher approval. We can add the approver to the ticket based on the requesting user's department. I have not been able to find a way to simply resend the request for Approval through JIRA.

So I assume the supervisor is receiving an email notification here upon either being added as an approver or the status transition to 'Waiting for approval' for example.

What you could do, is create a self-transition in the workflow from the waiting for approval status, called 'Re-send approval notification' for example, which by default should re-trigger the workflow notification. This can then be clicked when you need to re-send the notification.
