Is it possible to use Assets form Jira Service Management in Jira Software ?

Hi, 

We are thinking about to go a step further and also implement the asset management feature in Jira Service Management. As we also use Jira Software for standart projects and software projects it would be nice if the assets like Software or stuff like that could be used in Jira Software Tasks to get more information. 

Has anybody made some experience with this or is using it like the way we want to use it?
