Issues stuck with blank request type

Amanda Ward

I have some issues that were originally created on a JSM project and have since been migrated to a Jira Software project.

Now Jira thinks these issues have a request type even though it comes up blank when looking at issues. The request type field is preventing issues from moving between projects.

I've tried bulk removing the values in the field but Jira won't let me. Is there any way to force the move between projects? Is exporting and importing my only option?

Software projects do not have requests in front of the issues, but when you move an issue from JSM to JS, it does not delete the data that a request was there.

Your instinct is correct, you would need to export and import (because that will lose all the request data that is confusing your JS)
