We are setting up our service desk with Jira Service Management: this tool is in charge of our ops team.
At the moment our dev team uses Azure DevOps to track its tasks.
In our ideal process when a ticket needs a development, the ticket status is set to "Escalated" and a work-item is created in Azure DevOps.
We want that the newly created work-item could be linked to the initial ticket in order to keep an eye on it.
No syncs are needed (close the dev work-item mustn't close the ticket; on the other handi f the ticket is a change request we could want to close the ticket leaving open the work-item).
Is there something that fits the described scenario?
I have a look at some of the integrations but as far as i can see all of them sync a work item to a ticket (if I understand well).
This is Majid @ Exalate.
Your last statement threw me off a little bit, so let repeat what I understood:
Now if you want data to flow or not to flow between the two linked tickets, that is up to you (configuration), but this use case above should work pretty much out of the box with Exalate. Let me know if you are interested and I can explain more.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Majid
