Modify Right Panel In Portal View

Marcel Kampa January 13, 2025

Hello everybody and thank you for reading this.

We are trying to customize the Portal View (what customers see).

Currently the "Priority" is in the middle part of the screen. We want it in the right panel together with Status, Request Type, and "Shared with".

I uploaded a screenshot here: https://imgur.com/CdXyTWp

I am an Org-Admin. Permissions shouldn't be an issue.

Thank you for your time.

Best wishes,
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Appreciate your question on the community.

The customization options for the JSM portal are limited to the ones listed here -

The addition of fields to the request view was proposed, but it did not gain much traction, so it was automatically closed -

You can explore our market place page https://marketplace.atlassian.com/ for third party apps and choose the one that most suits your requirement.

Regards,
Anusha A

Hello @Anusha A ,

Thank you for the confirmation that this isn't possible at the moment.

Also thank you for the links.

Best wishes,
Marcel

Hi @Marcel Kampa ,

You see the Priority field in the center area because it's added to the request form and has value. Unfortunately, modifications on the customer portal are limited. If you want to display the Priority field in the right area, you have to use the app, for example our Feature Bundle for Jira Service Management. Nevertheless, if the Priority stays in the request form configuration, it will be still available in the center area (so you have the same information in two places).

Configure button described by John is about Issue layout which you can modify. This configuration changes the issue view available in Jira from service agent perspective.

Hi Marcel - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

While you are on the screen - click the Configure button in the bottom right.

On the ensuing screen, you can drag the field from the Description section of the screen to the Context section of the screen - this is the right hand side.

Hello John,

Thank you for the quick answer.

On the Portal view, I do not have a configure button in the bottom right.
In the Issue view, I do have a configure button in the bottom right.

I am trying to change the Portal view (where I don't have the configure button)
I am using Jira Cloud.

Am I missing a button?

Hello everybody,

Here is a screenshot from today (I censored the company information).

As you can see there is no configure button in the portal screen.

I appreciate any help :-)

Thank you
