I was added to a project as both the project leader and an administrator and I am not able to edit the workflows. Is there a setting we are missing that will allow me to do that?
support project > Request Management > Workflows:
no editing opportunity for me on that screen
Hi @Andrea Metcalf Welcome to the community!
If your project workflow is shared with other projects then as a project admin you can not edit it, only jira admins can moditify it.
That makes a lot of sense! Thank you!

It sounds like there might be a permissions setting preventing you from editing workflows, even though you're a project leader and administrator. A few things to check:
1️⃣ **Global Permissions** – Some workflow editing rights are controlled at the system level rather than the project level. Check if you have the necessary permissions under the admin settings.
2️⃣ **Workflow Scheme Lock** – If your project is using a shared workflow scheme, it might be locked from editing directly. You may need to create a new scheme or have a Jira admin update it.
3️⃣ **Admin vs. Project Admin** – Being a project admin doesn’t always grant full workflow editing rights. You might need Jira System Admin privileges.
4️⃣ **Draft Mode** – If the workflow is active, you may need to create a draft before making changes.
If none of these seem to be the issue, your best bet is checking with your Jira/System Admin to ensure your role has full workflow modification rights. Let me know if you need help troubleshooting further! 🚀
