Question about Insights and Software Attachment

Hi,

 

We have upgraded our staging area to Premium for insights and we are looking to use insights for our software installation files, however the maximum size for the attachment is 20mb.

Does anyone know of an alternative solution? - Our installation files are between 200mb and 500mb

Hi @James Carn,

Even though Jira Software Premium does offer unlimited file storage, I would never think of Jira as your weapon of choice for large file storage / file management.

Can't you store your installation files on a solid file storage system and add links to those files in Jira / Insight instead?

We want to allocate specific installation files to specific organisations and control that through insights

I agree with @Walter Buggenhout , I think you’d be better off with using a combination of a URL attribute and then a cloud blob storage, or maybe a Confluence page for all attachments, or maybe an even more sophisticated approach of an individual Confluence page per insight object, where you could customize the permissions of the individual page.
