Hi I want to add two step approval process in one of my Serve Management projects. Once a request is created it will be sent to the managers for approval and then it would be approved by Tech manager. How can I add the Manager approval process?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi Jyotsna,
Thinking about this, one way you could do it is build 2 approval steps into your workflow. For those two steps you can force a user to move it from one to the next and simply add the relevant approvers for each status. So you could create a status "Level 1 Manager" and then do an auto transition to the next status "Tech Manager" on approval and some other action on decline.
~Hope that makes sense :)

To complete your ask, you will need to customize your existing WF against the issue type that your specific request type is associated to.
Essentially, you will customize the WF transitions (as it goes into a specific status) where you can add your 2 stage approval process.
Hope this also helps.

Hi Jyotsna,
Checkout the "Approval Paths for Jira" app from the Atlassian Marketplace.
This app allows you to create approval processes for any Jira project, not just JSM.
You can define approvers, sequence the steps, and customize conditions.
You can define approvers even if they are JSM customers.
