Hi Team,
Do we have any automatic automation in place to move tickets from Resolved status to closed status?
Does it consider 3 business days or 7 business days to close a ticket from resolved status? This is considering no other change was done on the ticket.
Most of the articles I see says 3 days but it could be limited to only legacy automations so want to confirm.

Hi @Prerana Bhatt Koulmane Sathyanarayana
There are multiple ways to create such like
1. Jira Automation :
a. Create an SLA for time to close after resolution (Find this setting in Project settings > SLAs)
b. Goals > Apply to Issues
condition > Resolution = Set
c. Finish counting when Resolution = Cleared or resolved
then go to automation create new rule :
when SLA is breached > select time to resolution SLA is breached
d select 'Then' action > Transition to issue = Closed
it will close ticket
2. You can create a legacy automation too
eg. A. Click on project settings > legacy automations
B. Add new rule
C. When this happens...SLA time remaining (You can set days )
D. 'then do this' > "Transition issue to closed"
on the top 'Gear icon' you can select run as by whom so it will send email notification to reporter too that ticket is closed
Do let me know if any of this helped you to solve this issue in any way
HI @Prerana Bhatt Koulmane Sathyanarayana
There is no default behaviours that do it, you could create an automation for JIRA that closed issues in Resolved status not updated in the last 3 days.
