I have two projects, one in JIRA SD and the other in JIRA sw. Given two issues, one in each project, linked by a Cloned by link, I'd like to synchronize their comments, meaning when a comment is added to issue-1 [JIRA SD] the issue-2 [JIRA SW] gets updated with the same comment and vice versa. Is this possible with Automation rules? If yes plz indicate how.
Yes you can.
Look at one of the following add-ons to achieve this:
You can find them at marketplace.atlassian.com.
They allow you sync issues together.
Cheers.
Hi,
All of the suggested add-ons are paid add-ons. We are looking either for native features or free add-on
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Unfortunately, there is nothing free that can achieve this.
You can raise a feature request at jira.atlassian.com after searching if such a feature exists.
Cheers.

I'm a part of Exalate team, Ismael mentioned.
Although it's not free, it would probably be the easiest to go for an app. We do offer 30 day free trial which can be extended up to 90 days.
Comments can be synchronized by Exalate in a few ways. By default new comments will be added by the proxy user. However there is a possibility to impersonate a comment so that it is created using original comment author. In case the user is not found on the destination side you can either create a new user or use the proxy user.
Here is a direct link to Exalate: https://exalate.com/
Let me know if you have any questions about this. I'd be happy to help!
