Hi. Trying to configure Jira Service Desk and have some issues. We need categorization of requests like other ITIL ticketing systems. In my opinion cascade dropdown field is the best solution to select categories and sub-categories. I created field, configured dropdown data, added field to screen attached to project, but I can't see it on the right side with other fields. I tried to add other custom fields like single dropdown, all ok. I can add my cascade dropdown field to transition screen, all ok, both dropdowns showing. But nothing in task view screen
It's a bug, jira restriction or my mistake/misunderstanding? How can I solve this problem Thanks!
As far as I know, there is no such restriction in visibility for the cascaded drop down field.
You can use the option 'Where is my field?' available under Admin tab in view issue page to know the exact reason why the field is missing.
Hey @Gikku
Can't find this tab at new issue view, but I found it in old view.
Now I see:
Status: The 'HD tickets categories and sub-categories' field is not present on the form you are viewing
and
Field value
The field 'HD tickets categories and sub-categories' does not have value for issue HD-4 and will not be displayed on the view issue page. Set value for that field so that it shows up.
Ok I understand how it works. All cool in old issue view, but I can't see this field in new view. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am not sure of which Jira service desk version you are using, my with mine v 4.3.4 the Admin tab is visible and working as expected. Just right to the workflow transition buttons.
