Receiving an email stating that your project will be permanently deleted from the trash, even if you haven't deleted anything, can be concerning. It's not typical for projects to be scheduled for permanent deletion without user action. Here are a few steps you can take:
Verify the Email Source: Ensure that the email is legitimate and not a phishing attempt. Check the sender's email address and verify if it's from a trusted source associated with your project management platform.
Review Activity Logs: Log in to your project management platform and review the activity logs or audit trail to see if any actions were taken that could have triggered the deletion notice. Look for any unexpected deletions or changes made to projects.
Contact Support: If you're unsure about the email or believe it to be a mistake, contact the support team of your project management platform immediately. They can verify the status of your project and provide assistance or clarification.
Backup Data: As a precautionary measure, consider backing up your project data or important information to ensure that you have a copy in case of accidental deletion or data loss.
Change Passwords: If you suspect that your account may have been compromised, change your password immediately to prevent unauthorized access to your account and projects.
Monitor Account Activity: Keep an eye on your account activity and enable any available security features, such as two-factor authentication, to enhance the security of your account.
It's essential to take prompt action to address any unexpected notifications or concerns regarding the status of your projects to prevent potential data loss or security risks.
THANK YOU
If you have not moved the project to trash, you can navigate to Settings -> Projects -> Trash to find out when and by whom the project has been moved to trash. If you think the project is needed, then you can definitely restore it before it's getting permanently deleted from your instance.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Sharu

Hi @Michalis Motis ,
It is possible that the project was accidentally deleted or moved to trash by another user with the necessary permissions. To permanently delete a project in Jira Cloud, the project must first be moved to trash, and then the project can be permanently deleted from the trash.
It is important to note that once a project is permanently deleted from the trash, it cannot be recovered. Atlassian always recommend that to archive the project instead of deleting.
Regards,
Bhushan
