Hi,
The default behaviour of Jira customer notification only works if the member of an organization opt-in for future updates. The only notification that goes to all members is the Organization added notification.
This use case doesn't work for us and our customers. We would like to disable the notification Organization added and just opt-in everyone in the organization to receive alerts (the same as the reporter gets).
The closest I've come to this solution is to add all members of the organization to Request participant field. We have multiple organizations and service projects so I'd like to approach this programmatically where the organization members that will be added depend on the service project they are a member of. We have a one-to-one mapping of organization and service projects anyway so that's one.
However, Jira Automation only allows explicit selection of customers and users on Request participant field. If possible, I'd like to add either the organization itself or add all members specifying their organization.
I'd like to ask for assistance or if there are totally different alternatives.
Thanks in advance!
I jumped the gun too quickly by posting this query.
I can explicitly add the customers on a per-service-project basis. As I said, there is a one-to-one mapping of an organization to a service project.
New customers come to me anyway for invitations so as an additional step, I will add them to the automation I created to get the same notification as the others.
