In Jira Service Management Request forms, we are looking for a feature to auto-fill "Approvers" field with immediate Manager name as in Azure AD. Doing this will enter correct Manager name, else it may allow Customers to add incorrect Manager name.
How can we achieve this? We are using Atlassian Access connected with Azure AD for User provisioning.
Environment: Jira Cloud (JSM Cloud)
You can automate routing of approvals to managers from Azure AD using the Multiplier plugin on Jira cloud:
This uses post functions to pull in the manager from AD and insert that into the Approvers field in Jira. See this for more details: https://docs.multiplierhq.com/article/18-how-to-route-jira-service-management-approvals-to-azure-ad-manager

Hi Balaji,
you can use "Azure AD Attributes" to sync Azure attributes like a "Manager" to the native custom fields like User Pickers/Approvals in Jira.

Hi Balaji, as a first step , to understand automation of approvals, does this help at all?
