In our process a customer is able to approve the ticket through email writing Approved - the ticket is automatically moved to the other status after the approval. The email about their approval should be received by the Project manager ( it is set in the automation), but they customer also get's the email with the update about their own comment in the email saying approved.
How can I fix it in order for the customer not to receive its own comment?
I am aware of the option to turn of the notifications about all the comments in the project for the project participants, but the issue is that the notifications settings are for the whole project, and we have different Request types and different customers & settings for them.
I think it has something to do with user's own settings. Account > Personal settings > Email notifications, turning off "You make changes to issue" option resolved the problem for me.
But customer have to do it on their own, you can check more about the settings here Manage your Jira personal settings
