I need to know if it's possible to automate the transfer or synchronization of comments between a Customer Portal (likely Jira Service Management) and tasks in a Jira Software Project, both ways:
Please let me know you that the Jira Software Project task is created an automation on Jira service incident
Thank and regards
You can archive this with Jira Automation. A great article to help you to archive this is available at A helpful guide to automate comment copying across JSM, JSW, and JWM projects
Hope this helps!
Best regards
Sam
If your Customer Portal and Jira Software Project are part of the same Jira instance, you could indeed try out the Automation rules to copy comments for you.
But if you work on separate instances or if you need to pay close attention to Automation limits, you might want to try some of the 3rd party synchronization toosl available.
They not only copy internal and external comments but can also synchronize field values, attachments, or statuses.

Good luck!

Hello @Antonio Campagna
If I understand correctly, you’re trying to perform bi-directional sync across issues, right? In that case, I can suggest trying our app Elements Copy & Sync that allows you to clone and sync a full hierarchy of issues with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc).
You can check the guide here.
The app is for free during 30 days (and it stays free under 10 users).

Journeys is a brand new feature in Jira Service Management that helps you streamline various processes in your organization that may cross multiple departments, such as employee onboarding or off-boarding that require action from different teams. ✨
