How to transfer comments for a Sharepoint migration into a JIRA project of issues

I am the project lead of my division and I am working on migrating the service issues from SharePoint to a JIRA Project.  I was told SharePoint comments will not transfer during a migraiton to JIRA.  How can I get the comments for each sharepoint issue to transfer over to the JIRA project issues?

Hi @Dawn Ann Farnin 

Check if SharePoint supports export to CSV or JSON.

If yes, you can export the issues and comments in these formats and Jira provides a function to import these file formats. If you already imported other aspects of the issue, then you’ll need to get the new issue keys from Jira and adjust your SharePoint export accordingly.

There is an option to 'export to CVS' in our SharePoint site but I was told comments do not transfer.  How do I get the new issue keys from JIRA?  I have a JIRA project created with an issue template.  Thank you for the help.
