Hi @Sreenadh

Read only field per se are not possible in jira cloud. What you can do is simply to remove it from the edit view. And if you want someone to be able to edit it, then add a self transition with a transition screen in it, and on that transition have only this "read only" field. Then add your desirable conditions on that self transition (e.g. only users in group "admins" can use this transition)

Hi @Sreenadh

I believe it is not possible to make a Jira field read-only at the moment. We used to be able to do that in Jira On-Premises using an app, Scriprunner's behavior feature. The app's cloud version does not support Behavior at the moment but they are working toward providing it. Refer to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Behaviours-in-JIRA-CLOUD/qaq-p/1672327.

Thank you,

Marini
