I would like to add customer detail fields to my customer overview. Currently i can only identify a customer by their email, but not by other data entered as detail fields.

Customer details are only viewable on a work item.
On the customer overview on the project this is not possible.
You can use the API for this, see api-api-v1-customer-search-by-detail-field-post
You can check our app Advanced Portal Reports. It will allow you to add any column to the request list, enhance the filters: SLAs, Due dates, logged work, custom fields, labels, etc. and also export all their tickets. You can also add any custom field on the portal request listing.
