I am looking for a way to populate the choices of a second drop-down field based on the choice of the first drop down field in an incident form. For example:
Drop-down 1:
Labeled: Category
Choices:Hardware, Software, Other
If "Hardware" is chosen:
Drop-down 2 would populate with:
Choices: PC, Laptop, Monitor, Printer (etc.)
If "Software" is chosen:
Drop-down 2 would populate with:
Choices: Windows, Office, (etc.)
If "Other" is chosen the user is given a text box to type something in.
Except for the Other text box functionality you should be able to do this out of the box w/ the Select List (cascading) field.
The add-on, Extension for Jira Service Desk has options to dynamically hide/display fields based on other field choices.
I do not see the Select List (cascading) field, is that something I have to enable?
These are the fields I have to choose from:
