Multiple User Permissions within an Organization

I am looking for a way to solve an issue regarding user permissions within an organization for multiple organizations.

Is this possible?

Example:Organization ABCD includes: Bob, Peter, Jane and Sally. All 4 of these people can submit ticket on behalf of their company: ABCD. Ideally, all 4 would be in the ABCD Organization in the Jira Project, under customers. This would associate them to that client every time they submit a ticket.

Bob is the only person who should see all the tickets, submitted by anyone.Peter, Jane, and Sally (being division heads) do not need to see tickets submitted by their peers. They only need to see tickets that they submit.

How can we add all of the people to the Org, and throttle those permissions?

Hi Kristen,
thank you for your message. 

  1. Anyone listed under the Customers list (either in a organization or not) can submit tickets

  2. You can give Bob access to "Browse the project" either using a Roles (e.g. Read Only) or using a user group ( e.g. jira-stakeholders-read-only). He would be able to see all tickets though, not only from his organisation. 
  3. You could still create organizations as to help the users like Bob to filter the tickets by his organisations. You could create a board for him where he can see only his issues.

  4. Perhaps you can use the Issue Security to allow more restrictions to the ticket ?
